Cymric Archers is an Archery Club open to new members from Llanelli and the surrounding areas. We have a mix of junior and senior members of all abilities and bow styles. - During the summer season we shoot at our field in Pembrey Country Park
- Wednesday evening 6pm - late.
- Sunday from around 11:30 to 16:00 but this is flexible.
- During the winter we shoot indoors at Glan-y-Mor School
- Wednesdays - Canceled until further notice
- Sundays 3pm to 6pm
- Members may shoot at any time on the field in Pembrey as long as they follow the GNAS safety rules (if in doubt, don't shoot, but ask one of the coaches to confirm the rules)
We hold a club competition on the first Sunday of each month.

Following the 2008 AGM, and the news that stradey School is no longer available to us, we had to make a swift decision about out Indoor venue for the 2008/9 season.
When we previously shot at Glan-y-Mor school we were all very pleased by the facilities, storage etc, but the Wednesday sessions were poorly attended. It was believe this was due to its location, so we agreed to try Stradey. Unfortunately Stradey is no longer an option, so we are returning to Glan-Y-Mor School.
After a long discussion it was decided to shoot only once per week during the indoor season, like the majority of Archery clubs, and to extend the Sunday session to allow us to shoot formal rounds when requested. We have also moved the session to later in the day to suit the vast majority of the members.
Sunday afternoon 3pm - 6pm
We realise that this will not suit eveybody, but of the 19 attendees of the AGM, 18 voted to move to Glan-y-Mor, and at least 15 voted to the new hours.
As with all club business, if anyone is not happy now, or in the future, please speak to one of the committee so that we can look at how to accomodate the majority. |
